Let me introduce myself...
Thank you for taking the time to find out about me and what kind of coaching I can offer you!
I am a qualified Coach Practitioner who has recently given up my full-time professional marketing and communications career to set up my own coaching business - a scary transition, but I coached myself into it!
I have been using coaching principles for over 10 years after first being introduced to it through leading and developing staff in the Higher Education setting. After studying counselling at Warwick University - I discovered my passion for listening, connecting, and supporting others in a non‑judgmental, reflective space. I loved helping people explore what was going on for them, but I often found myself wanting to ask more future‑focused questions - ones that encouraged movement, growth, and positive change. Because this sits outside the primary focus of counselling, I naturally gravitated towards coaching. It allowed me to bring my strengths to life: being curious, asking thought‑provoking questions, helping people see situations from new angles, and empowering them to problem‑solve, build confidence, and thrive. From that point, I was hooked.
I connect naturally with a wide range of people, adapting my style to what each individual needs. Often, this means helping people tune into their emotions and feelings - even when they didn’t expect this to be part of their journey - and surprising themselves in the process. Equally, after 15 years in strategic marketing and communications roles, I can offer a more logical, structured, and objective approach for those who prefer it. I take time to understand the world people operate in and their frame of reference, which helps me support them in identifying motivations, challenges, and meaningful next steps.
Over the years, I’ve coached a diverse mix of individuals - from senior leaders, to recent graduates adjusting to new professional dynamics; from researchers launching world‑changing projects, to students at the start of their university journey; from new mothers, to women transitioning from full‑time careers into retirement. I learn something valuable from every person I work with, in every single session.
My values are deeply rooted - respect everyone, be non-judgemental, recognise the value in others. I follow the EMCC guidelines and ethical framework, holding these principles at the heart of my work. I give people the time and space they need to explore their inner world, with a supportive and steady presence beside them. Historically, I have spent eight years in pastoral care roles supporting students with a wide range of wellbeing and mental‑health concerns. I also volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Society as a companion caller. I genuinely care about people’s wellbeing and want them to feel supported and able to flourish.
On a personal note, I love golden retreivers, and yoga, but find they don't mix particularly well! I love photography, design, music and dance, and love to give them a go in my spare time. I think happiness is the ultimate goal, and kindness is key! I'd love to talk more and learn what motivates you.
